[Interrupting Serebiiiiiiiiii~!]

[Serebii had been flying from one time to another, in the same forest for the third time since coming to Isshu, basking the forest in a light that Pokemon would notice but few humans would: the leaves looked much greener, the soil a more vivid shade of brown, and the sunlight shone in so much brighter. The sound that could be heard when a Serebii travelled, known as the voice of the forest, could be heard by everyone, even if not all recognized it for what it was.

It was something of a warning, to keep a playful Serebii from dragging unsuspecting (and, therefore, not quite willing) others from one time to another.

After witnessing another failed attempt by the same Kanto-bred trainer to make friends with an aloof Isshu boy, this particular Serebii felt saddened. She could tell when someone was a loner by nature, she could peek into his life, and she knew this boy also wanted friends, once! And this coldness was a front, she knew. She's seen enough to know!

It was sad that he how he put up walls, once a would-be friend finally came along...

Then, she had an idea! Just before the aloof boy took one step in the other direction to part ways, she flew down and plucked him off of the ground.]

W-what the...?! H-hey! [Like most people who've been scooped up from under their arms like a small child, before being lifted up, past the leaves and into the sky... he panicked, kicked, and pathetically reached for the ground!]

Biiii~~ rebiiii!

[Feeling like her little plan was working, Serebii happily slipped into a portal into another time, pulling the boy along with her!]

[ Satoshi watches the small boy's sudden actions, smiling and holding back a chuckle. Shootie was quite the opposite of when Satoshi was younger. When he visited the library he was loud and often times was scolded by Shigeru or his mother to keep it down.

Once the two of them made it inside Satoshi quickly tried to think of what they could ask the librarian to narrow their search. Still, he didn't hesitate to speak up after the approach and smile. ]

'Cuse us miss, could we ask you a question?

[She smiles politely at the two of them.] Of course! What can I do to help you?

[Shootie looked around curiously for a moment, before focusing on the librarian again.] We want books about Pokemon that can go from one dimension to another, miss library-an! Please!

[ The librarian takes a small moment to recollect where books like that could be before smiling once more. ]

If you go to section C, you might be able to find what you're looking for somewhere in the second row.

[ Satoshi's smile brightens upon hearing the news. ]

Thanks, Miss! Let's go find those books, Shootie!

[Shootie covered his mouth, giving an apologetic look for thanking her so loudly, but his voice goes high when he's excited!

He holds onto Satoshi again.]

Are there pictures in the books? Maybe Pikachu noticed something we didn't!

[ The librarian didn't seem to mind the sudden loudness as his reaction made up for it, smiling and nodding her head. ]

Yes, there should be pictures in the books to help you find what you are looking for.

Great! Then Pikachu can help us find what we're looking for too!

[ Pikachu Pii's happily, although quietly than his trainer as he responds in agreement. There was that sound that he heard so maybe that might be of help when looking for what it was! ]

[Shootie happily acquires some of the books on the lower shelves. As many as his little arms could carry, especially if their binders and covers were colourful and inviting!]

[ Meanwhile Satoshi was picking books out from the higher shelves, also getting as many as his arms could carry! Why only pick a few at a time and have to go back for more? This way was far more diligent! Even Pikachu was helping out, picking out two small books he can carry from the lowest shelf. ]

[Shootie, despite taking his task very seriously, soon lost his focus and became entirely captivated by the beautiful illustrations in the books, but soon became very curious about why all the Legendary Pokemon in books only had very old-looking "illustrations" and no full-colour photographs, unlike all the more common kinds of Pokemon.]

... we should take a picture of the real thing when we see it! Then, they could use our picture in the book. [He mused quietly to himself.]

[ Satoshi was looking through Pokemon in one of the books he picked up when he hears Shootie musing to himself. He smiles, rather fond of the idea. ]

We can take a picture with the camera! [ Other Shootie wouldn't mind if they took a picture of a legendary Pokemon with it,right? ]

[Shootie smiles.]
Which one do you think it is? Giratina, maybe, or Serebii...? But, none of those are native to Isshu!

Do you think it was one who travelled from another region?

[ Satoshi thought about it for a moment. He's been looking through a book with only Isshu Pokemon and none of them seemed to be what he caught a glimpse of. ]

Maybe! None of these Pokemon from Isshu is what I saw.

[ Hold on, what was the second one Shootie said? ]

Shootie, can I see the pictures of Giratina and Serebii?

Okay! They're only drawings, though...

[He handed it over, completely missing the note on "the voice of the forest" and everything else that wasn't in the picture.]

[ Satoshi looks at the image. First he looks at Giratina. No .. it couldn't have been this legendary. The colors didn't match what he saw when Shootie was picked up. It wasn't the right shape, nor did it look like a Pokemon that would be small enough.

He then looks at Serebii. It looked a lot more familiar than Giratina. And he does recall seeing something green... ]

Hey, let's try and find more information on Serebii!

You think it was Serebii? [Shootie blinked, then grinned.] Yeah, we were in a forest!

[Yes, he was going by the pictures alone. Was he not very good at reading yet...?

He'll lower his voice the next time he speaks.]

I'll go find some!

I think so! When I saw it the Pokemon was green like Serebii. [ He grins back ] You're right! [ Wow Satoshi not thinking of that. ]

[ Satoshi nods his head. And then speaks in a quieter voice himself as he almost forgot they were in a library. ]

Great! And I'll look through some of the books I have here with Pikachu!

Okay!

[Shootie left to gather more books. He comes back with a tower that eclipses him entirely, the stack going up past his head.]

[ Meanwhile Satoshi flips through a different book than the one he had before, trying to look for Serebii. When Shootie comes back he looks at the stack with surprise. ]

Ah, careful! The stack looks like it's about to fall over!

Nuh-uh, I'm good at carrying lots of books! I get lots of practice.

[He sets it down, although it wobbles a bit before he finally manages to set it down on the table (while balancing on a chair, no less!) and happily smile at Satoshi around the successfully transported tower.]

[ Satoshi watches the success of putting the books down and was about to cheer before oh wait ... they're in a library. So he settles for the next best thing. ]

That was great! You really musta done a lot of practice!

[His cheeks flushed and he laughed a little bit in embarrassment. So much praise!

He took down a book and began to look through it to distract himself. The blush took a while to die down. Somebody doesn't get complimented very often, it seems.]

It says Pokemon know when to stay very still when they're in a forest Serebii visits. They say that if you, um... move too much, even after you hear the voice of the forest, you could be taken to another time!

Did you or Pikachu hear anything?

[ Satoshi smiles. Hey! He gives out praise where it is deserved, and you certainly deserved it!

After Shootie read what was said in the book Satoshi took a moment to try and remember. ]

Nope. I didn't hear anything. Did ya, Pikachu?

Pikaa!

[ Pikachu's reply was accompanied with a nod of it's head, clearly remembering hearing something before Shootie was picked up and Satoshi ran after him. ]

Really? So it could have been Serebii who brought us here? If it was and we're in another time then... [ He looks at Shootie. If this was all true then there wasn't much room for doubt who he was with, but he still couldn't believe it. ]

[Shootie continued to smile expectantly up at him, before looking back at the book.

Then, the realization hit him and his smile shrunk before vanishing completely.]

Then... does that mean, when you find Serebii, you'll leave me?

[His voice cracks a little, but it's not in that excited, high-pitched tone, instead, it's a voice on the verge of crying.]

I don't want to say goodbye.

[ The realization hit Satoshi as well when Shootie mentioned it. For a moment it saddened both him and Pikachu as well.

Then he thought of something. He moves over to Shootie and gives him a small pat on the head. ]

Hey, don't cry. If the Shootie I know is you in the future, then it won't be goodbye forever! When you turn ten and pick your starter Pokemon I'll be there. Then we'll have a battle!

[Seeing Satoshi and Pikachu both look sad just made it worse. Tears welled up in his eyes and he tried to stop himself from crying, but only gave himself a bout of hiccups in the process.]

B-b-but I... I don't want to wait years to see you again— you're my first friend! I don't want to be alone...!

[He bites his lip, thinking about the idea of having a battle.] L-like Adeku-san?

[He likes that idea. Then, he can have two things in the future to look forward to!]

W-will Pikachu be there too?

[He leans on the tabletop, reaching out to the Pokemon. Maybe he wants to hold his paw?]

[ Oh no, don't cry. This was hard enough for the Trainer as it is. It's always hard leaving friends. And to hear that he was his first ... did Shootie really not have any friends before he started his journey? ]

You won't be alone! Pikachu and I will be right here! [ And with that he points to where Shootie's heart is. ] Friends will always be there, no matter how far away they are!

[ He then smiles and nods his head. ] Yeah! Me and Pikachu will be your first battle. Right buddy?

[ Pikachu 'chaas' in agreement before noticing Shootie's hand. He hops over to Shootie and extends his paw for him. ]
