[Interrupting Serebiiiiiiiiii~!]
[Serebii had been flying from one time to another, in the same forest for the third time since coming to Isshu, basking the forest in a light that Pokemon would notice but few humans would: the leaves looked much greener, the soil a more vivid shade of brown, and the sunlight shone in so much brighter. The sound that could be heard when a Serebii travelled, known as the voice of the forest, could be heard by everyone, even if not all recognized it for what it was.
It was something of a warning, to keep a playful Serebii from dragging unsuspecting (and, therefore, not quite willing) others from one time to another.
After witnessing another failed attempt by the same Kanto-bred trainer to make friends with an aloof Isshu boy, this particular Serebii felt saddened. She could tell when someone was a loner by nature, she could peek into his life, and she knew this boy also wanted friends, once! And this coldness was a front, she knew. She's seen enough to know!
It was sad that he how he put up walls, once a would-be friend finally came along...
Then, she had an idea! Just before the aloof boy took one step in the other direction to part ways, she flew down and plucked him off of the ground.]
W-what the...?! H-hey! [Like most people who've been scooped up from under their arms like a small child, before being lifted up, past the leaves and into the sky... he panicked, kicked, and pathetically reached for the ground!]
Biiii~~ rebiiii!
[Feeling like her little plan was working, Serebii happily slipped into a portal into another time, pulling the boy along with her!]

[ haha, thank you! and yess. Oshawott plz. ]
That was great! You really musta done a lot of practice!
[At least, it wasn't a Dragon Sneeze. xDDD]
He took down a book and began to look through it to distract himself. The blush took a while to die down. Somebody doesn't get complimented very often, it seems.]
It says Pokemon know when to stay very still when they're in a forest Serebii visits. They say that if you, um... move too much, even after you hear the voice of the forest, you could be taken to another time!
Did you or Pikachu hear anything?
[ True that! ]
After Shootie read what was said in the book Satoshi took a moment to try and remember. ]
Nope. I didn't hear anything. Did ya, Pikachu?
Pikaa!
[ Pikachu's reply was accompanied with a nod of it's head, clearly remembering hearing something before Shootie was picked up and Satoshi ran after him. ]
Really? So it could have been Serebii who brought us here? If it was and we're in another time then... [ He looks at Shootie. If this was all true then there wasn't much room for doubt who he was with, but he still couldn't believe it. ]
no subject
Then, the realization hit him and his smile shrunk before vanishing completely.]
Then... does that mean, when you find Serebii, you'll leave me?
[His voice cracks a little, but it's not in that excited, high-pitched tone, instead, it's a voice on the verge of crying.]
I don't want to say goodbye.
no subject
Then he thought of something. He moves over to Shootie and gives him a small pat on the head. ]
Hey, don't cry. If the Shootie I know is you in the future, then it won't be goodbye forever! When you turn ten and pick your starter Pokemon I'll be there. Then we'll have a battle!
no subject
B-b-but I... I don't want to wait years to see you again— you're my first friend! I don't want to be alone...!
[He bites his lip, thinking about the idea of having a battle.] L-like Adeku-san?
[He likes that idea. Then, he can have two things in the future to look forward to!]
W-will Pikachu be there too?
[He leans on the tabletop, reaching out to the Pokemon. Maybe he wants to hold his paw?]
no subject
You won't be alone! Pikachu and I will be right here! [ And with that he points to where Shootie's heart is. ] Friends will always be there, no matter how far away they are!
[ He then smiles and nods his head. ] Yeah! Me and Pikachu will be your first battle. Right buddy?
[ Pikachu 'chaas' in agreement before noticing Shootie's hand. He hops over to Shootie and extends his paw for him. ]
no subject
S-so, do we go back to the forest now?
no subject
Yeah! If Serebii's gonna be anywhere it'll be that forest. Let's go!
[ Time to go and find a legendary Pokemon! ]
[Sorry for the delay, I was busy!]
[Mind if he sings (not so well, but hey!)? Because he's going to grab a stick and wave it in the air as he sings and marches along.
One is supposed to be quiet if they want Serebii not to carry them along, so maybe being noisy will draw this one near?]
[No Worries~ ♥]
Eventually, hey, why doesn't he join in on the fun! So he picks up a nearby stick and starts singing along with Shootie as they both head in to the forest. ]
no subject
Well, at least that'd ensure he wouldn't show up in any photographs in a time he should not technically exist as he does... or will!]
no subject
Serebii!
[ They found the Legendary Pokemon. But not having seen Shootie dogpaddle into the leaves he doesn't know that the older one of the two was within the vicinity. ]
Serebii, where's the older Shootie?
no subject
Satoshi, aren't you going to take a picture? It's a super-rare chance!
no subject
Shootie! Are you there-- Oh yeah!
[ He forgot about taking a picture! Thank you, little Shootie! Satoshi takes out the camera that he had pocketed before proceeding to take a picture of the grass legendary. ]
no subject
Y-yeah! [Is all he manages.
Serebii poses for a picture, before flying over to Satoshi, tapping his hat and playfully tugging Pikachu's ear. She then flies back up, while little Shootie balls his hands up in excitement again.]
You got the shot?! That's great, that's really great, Satoshi!
[His enthusiasm dies down a little, smile faltering, as his older self floats down from the tree.]
... you followed me here? [Shootie honestly looked confused at Satoshi being here.] Why?
[He wasn't that Sommelier or his friend from the Dragon Village, so why?
Serebii spins around them, lifting Satoshi and Pikachu off the ground as well. Continue your conversation in mid-air, then, while little Shootie looks up, trying to be brave and fight back tears! Talk quickly, now~]
no subject
Yeah!
[ before he could say much more he notices the smaller Shootie's smile faltering before hearing the other Shootie's voice and turning around.
He's going to be a little surprised by Serebii lifting him and Pikachu off the ground before speaking. Also looking back at little Shootie. Yeah, has to make this quick. He doesn't want to see the younger version cry! So he turns back to the older Shootie. ]
'Course I did! I couldn't just stand there and watch something fly off with you. [ And why he did that? Well because he wants to be your friend, Shootie. In the case that you haven't gotten the point yet. ]
no subject
[He's got a small, disbelieving little smile.
He's having a hard time believing it, but there isn't any other possibility, is there? All he can really do is sort of... bow his head a bit.] ... thanks. [Oddly humble, there.
Looking down draws little Shootie to his attention. It's surreal and even seems to frighten Shootie a little bit, to stare at his own self, even missing a few years. The younger boy had no way of really recognizing a person he had yet to become, fully focused on Satoshi and Pikachu.]
Bye-bye...?
[There's still the battle, right? His hand shoots up to wave, quickly, scared they'll disappear before saying anything.]
no subject
[ And Satoshi just smiles that bright smile right back at him, turning into an even bigger smile at his thanks before hearing the smaller Shootie. He turns and focuses on the smaller one. His smile lessens a bit into a more sympathetic one. He had a blast with the younger Shootie and learned some things he would have never learned otherwise. He feels that, now that he knows Shootie better, that maybe they can become friends.
Or rather ... become even better friends, since small Shootie already made him a friend.
Both Satoshi and Pikachu wave back at the smaller Shootie. ]
We'll see you soon, Shootie! Don't forget about the battle!
no subject
When they're back in the right time, Serebii drops them off, not-so-gently onto the ground before leaving them behind to travel on her own in search of another diversion.]
... never flying Serebii lines again. [Shootie, why are you cracking jokes? You feeling alright, bro? ... well, that Serebii could definitely work on her landings.]
no subject
But that thought was interrupted by Serebii's rough landing. Satoshi end sup face planting into the ground with Pikachu landing next to him. He groans, picking himself up when-- oh. He's still holding Shootie's camera.
He lifts his head up and hears Shootie's comment. Wow, that was something he never expected him to say. ]
You alright Shootie?
no subject
Here. [He leans kneels down and offers Satoshi a hand. Well, he isn't smiling, still rather stoic, but that's different, isn't it?] Grab on or I'll leave you behind. I've got a ship to catch in the port city up ahead... and I've got to get this camera fixed before that too, the dates are all messed up—
[He'll grab the camera off the ground with his other hand, looking it over.]
It claims I've got a picture here from two years before this model was even released! Crazy, right? Haven't been able to open it yet...
[... oddly chatty, today, aren't you, Shootie?]
no subject
Usually, Shootie would stand up and walk away, wouldn't he? Even if he needed to get his camera back he would take it and go. But to help Satoshi up or else he will leave the trainer behind?
Well... Satoshi can't complain. Soon enough he smiling and grabbing his hand, though what the other trainer says afterwards doesn't make things any less confusing. ]
Whaddya mean? The camera was working just fine when I used it.
[ he's not quite thinking about when he used your camera Shootie. Just that he did. Oh, and your little self used it too but that would be a bit strange to bring up. He might though! ]
[1/2]
Funny. I don't remember lending it to you... [He looks at the camera for a moment, before frowning.]
[Congrats, Shootie's memories are all mixed up. : D;]
I don't really remember giving you this, but that's it! That is the last time I'm letting you borrow my camera! You're always breaking my stuff... just because we've been friends since we were kids, doesn't mean you should trash my things!
[He's shouting in a rather comical way as he sets off to leave, walking backwards, facing Satoshi the whole time, angrily waving the camera in the air.] I mean it! I really mean it this time, Satoshi! I'm taking a picture so I don't forget it too!
[Whatever expression you're wearing right now, Satoshi, Shootie's going to snap a picture of it.]
[ WHOOPS 8D ] 1/2
2/2
[BWAHAHA, that expression makes for a lovely shot too.]
[ Leave it to Satoshi! ]
